Healing Heart Carnelian is a natural gemstone, hand shaped, with patterns created only by nature as a part of the stone. Carnelian, sometimes referred to as sard, is a variety of chalcedony, colored by impurities of iron oxide. It ranges from an intensely deep red to red-orange hue. This beautiful stone has been used since Neolithic times. Carnelian was once considered strictly the property of the noble class, often used as a signet or seal.
