The Ned Noble Sauvignon Blanc 375ml.
A still sea of light gold with sticky viscosity. This, like so many dessert wines, looks beautiful in the glass. Perfumed pineapple and ripe peaches take up the nose. It smells quite alcoholic, despite only being 9.5%, showing it’s got full flavour – which might not be what you expect from a Sauvignon varietal wine either.
The fruit on the palette is sticky sweet but still balanced with a light structure and a lingering finish. Again pineapple and peaches, a tiny note of butterscotch, and smooth as anything. Can feel a little candied at times so best for sipping as an aperitif, or alongside some tasty homemade ginger bread.
